It’s all good so far. 4/21/13

There was a minor hiccup with the installation of programs on the new laptop last night.  I was trying to install Office 365 and suffered from an operator error.  You extract the credit card from the cardboard cover and look for the 25 digit code.  The code is under a magnetic strip.  Not a piece of tape that says please remove, no.  A strip that, according to the nice fellow at Best Buy at 9:30 pm, is easily exposed by scrapping with a knife.  It was probably line one of the job instructions.

Anyway, Office 365 gets me Office on the laptop and on 4 other computers – my desk top, the daughter’s chromebook if there is room, Jesse’s desktop, etc.  so we will not have to worry about updates and student discounts.

Now we have Outlook and the other Office functions working and stuff moved over from Drop Box.  We are in business.  I do need to learn how the windows and tabs work on the laptop.  I published the first two sentences of this entry accidentally by hitting some combination of the trackpad/mouse device.

I don’t mind. It is a peaceful Sunday morning.  I have good coffee available and can deal with the learning curve.
